As a result of assignment of current employee to a specific project, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person to take on the role of Professional Responsibility for a nine month period.
Working cooperatively with other staff and elected officials, the Professional Responsibility Officer will provide consultation, advisory and advocacy services to members and Locals of United Nurses of Alberta, in particular related to professional care concerns. This is a professional position that works with significant autonomy and reports to the Manager of Labour Relations.
A Baccalaureate in Nursing is required with a Masters Degree in Nursing or Health Administration preferred. A minimum of three years of recent experience in nursing research, education, policy or administration, along with strong analytical skills and demonstrated writing, research and critical thinking skills is required.
The Professional Responsibility must have a firm commitment to trade union principles and must be eligible for registration in CARNA or CRPNA.
