Voting in municipal elections

According to Section 58 of the Local Authorities Election Act, employees are allowed three consecutive hours to vote on Election Day. Municipal elections are being held in Alberta on Monday, October 21, 2013.

Temporary transfers in emergency situations

June 21, 2013

Under Article 44.05 (e) of the UNA provincial collective agreement, an Employer may assign Employees to work at any site to provide assistance in emergency circumstances. An emergency is an unforeseen combination of circumstances or the resulting state that calls for immediate action.
