Employment Opportunity: Information Systems - Developer

A new position is available in the UNA Information Systems department for a programmer. The main responsibility for this position will be to work on creating and maintaining  in house applications, with the primary being a FileMaker Pro based application called DMS. We are a small team and responsibilities will be broad. Each team member is expected to see to many implementation details across the full project.

Our internal solutions are built using:

  • -OS X
  • Object-C (iOS App)
  • Java (Android App)
  • FileMaker Pro
  • Apache
  • PHP
  • various SQL Databases 

DMS is extensive, handling Membership tracking, Grievance tracking, Human Resources, Member Services, Event planning and more. It's also integrated into several systems including Microsoft's Dynamics and OpenText's FirstClass. We are looking for a flexible person comfortable with learning new languages, systems and expanding their skill set regularly.

Work crosses broad range of environments. We maintain and build MySQL/FileMaker/PHP based Apps, iPhone and Android Apps, and Node WebApps.

Position Responsibilities include:

  • maintaining current in house applications
  • developing new application for internal use
  • end-user support of internal applications and help with server operations.

Salary: $83,000.00 to $99,000.00 based on experience, with benefits and an Employer RRSP contribution.

Hours: This is a unionized position, 35 hours per week, paid overtime.

Requires: A Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent.
